One could argue that the design is not that different from the Martin XB-51 and you would be right, however there are many reasons why military aircraft designs (specially true of bombers or fighters) rarely if ever translate into successful civilian aircraft. The primary reason is that the design criteria are vastly different, most important of these being economies of operation.
