SHADO Moon Base Interceptor

The Moon Base Interceptors were designed as space-based point-defense fighters. Their mission was to get to a point of interception with the given target, launch their single onboard weapon and return to base. Guidance was usually ground based but the fighters also had an onboard targeting capability in the event that ground control was unavailable.
The Interceptors began life as one of
the many excellent Mike Trim designs executed for the show however the final
on-screen version is far different from what he had originally envisioned.
