The Shadair SST is another demonstration of Mike Trim's ability to design based on real-world technology. His SST for the series "UFO" is both believable and practical. In fact it fairly closely resembles one designed for McDonnell Douglas by one of their top designers, Richard Cathers. It is design work like this that permits the audience to be involved on a much higher level, knowing that what they are watching is possible.
