The Never Before Seen Capsule Interior

The instrument panels in this set are actually from a variety of surplus sources.  The panel with the rows of square buttons with grey backgrounds are taken from a USAF Titan I missile site as are the event counters and a few of the others.  The "tape drive" is actually a 16-track audio recorder.  All these instruments featured heavily in the various Irwin Allen science fiction shows through the years and should be very familiar to most fans.  The ejection seats appear to be taken from an F-105 Thunderchief or F-106 Delta Dagger fighter.  For closeups of many of these instrument panels also see the "Cockpit Instrumentation" page of the "Spindrift" from Land of the Giants.
