The Seaview 24 Inch Miniature

This is all that is known to survive of the 24 inch Seaview miniature.  Like the 8 foot long miniature, this section of the bow was removed when the tiny model was reconfigured for the short-lived Irwin Allen TV series "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".   Generally this model was only used for those scenes requiring a "giant octopus" to attack the ship.  Someone would simply grab the model and shove it into the face of a little octopus in a tank.  It is quite probable that the Aurora model kit was planographed directly from this model as well which would explain allot.
