Origins of Instrumentation
Most of this instrumentation has seen duty in all the previous Irwin Allen TV productions. Some are missile checkout panels from a Titan I ICBM site while others are taken from IBM computers of the late 1950s. This equipment is also featured in the ships and bases seen in "Planet of the Apes" and "Fantastic Voyage". Most of it has since been sold by the studio and belongs to a prop rental company in Hollywood but some have found their way into the hands of collectors.
