Regrettably I don't have a lot of facts to share about these test stands.  They were built in the Sacramento area by the Douglas Aircraft Co, specifically for testing the SIVB series of boosters, but beyond that I can't say much.  Captions for these photos were taken from the caption lists provided in the photo notebooks.  Apparently SIVB 503 exploded in the stand (or rather "popped") but no explanation is given about causes.  There were also other smaller testing sites around the main stands too, some of which are shown here as well.
